Pokemon Ranger, the most recent spin-off game, takes a lot of advantage with the stylus. Pokemon Ranger uses the stylus, or styler as they call it in the game, to capture Pokemon in the game. You have to make a circle around it a certain number of times and without the Pokemon breaking it to capture it. This game has a more important feature to fans of the main Pokemon RPG. This feature allows people to obtain a Manaphy egg with a certain code, beating a mission in Ranger, and transferring the Manaphy egg via two DS's and a cartridge of Pokemon Ranger and Pokemon Diamond or Pearl. See the Codes Section to figure out how to obtain the Manaphy Egg. This game was released on October 30th, 2006 and developed by HAL Laboratory, Inc.

Pokemon Trozei is a puzzle game that is similar to the classic game of Tetris. The blocks are shaped like various Pokémon. These blocks fall on to both screens; however, only the blocks on the bottom screen can be slid down and matched. The player can move the blocks to the left and right, and the Pokémon that was moved off to the left or right of the entire screen returns to the opposite side of the screen. The blocks can also be moved downward, and the blocks on the bottom will fall to the top of the column. If you get four blocks in a row, a Trozei Chance Icon will come up. When that happens, matches of three Pokémon are allowed for a short amount of time. If a match of three is made during that short amount of time, matches of two Pokémon are allowed as well for as long as the player continues to make links every two seconds. If you see Ditto as one of the icons, it will act as a wildcard, so it could be included in any row of four. Pokemon Trozei came out on March 6, 2006 in the US for the Nintendo DS.

Pokemon Dash is the first Pokemon game to be a racing game. You could play as Pikachu and compete in races by using the stylus to make Pikachu race. It has a lot of different types of races,so you won't be bored with doing the same races over and over again. The majority of people who played this game, weren't too happy after they played the game. They claimed you could only play as Pikachu and you could beat this game in a few hours. Pokemon Dash was released on March 13, 2005 in the US for the Nintendo DS and was produced by Ambrella.
